Emerald Crown is medium-maturing, very uniform, and has a compact plant habit. This favourite market variety has high yields of heavy, domed heads with small to medium dark blue-green beads. Grown primarily for high quality, high yielding crown cuts with short trim. Good heat tolerance. Heads resist purpling (Anthocyanin) in cooler weather.
