Sriracha Jalapeno Pepper is a fiery addition to our Taste of the Season collection. This pepper variety is celebrated not only for its culinary versatility but also for its attractive appearance, making it a standout in vegetable gardens or patio containers. The plants are compact and prolific, producing an abundance of glossy peppers measuring 4 inches by 1.25 inches (10 cm x 3 cm), with thick walls that mature from dark green to a vivid red.
Gardeners appreciate this variety for its ease of cultivation and high yield. It thrives in full sun with well-drained soil and requires regular watering to maintain its vigor. The peppers can be harvested when green for a milder flavour or allowed to ripen to red for increased heat and sweetness. Fruit has a long shelf life. Good heat content – 2500 – 8000 Scoville units.
Perfect for adding heat to salsas, sauces, pickles, jellies, and Mexican cuisine.
