Artemisia
Artemisia is a vast and diverse genus of plants within the daisy family Asteraceae, comprising nearly 500 species. Some common names for different species include mugwort, wormwood, and sagebrush. Most garden varieties of artemisia are herbaceous perennials (with some being tender perennials) prized for their attractive foliage and aromatic properties. Once established, this tough plant requires minimal care and is tolerant of heat, drought, and poor soil conditions. Artemisia serves as an excellent choice for creating background interest to the landscape. Many varieties feature stunning displays of soft, velvety silver-gray leaves, which are striking either on their own or when paired with other flowering plants.
