This new compact Nasturtium has vibrant orange blooms and uniform, mounded habit, making it a winner planted in containers, window boxes, mixed combinations, baskets, and small space gardens. The petite 2″ (5 cm) aromatic flowers are perfect sprinkled in salads or used as garnishes. The dark sea-green leaves have a peppery flavour. Attracts butterflies and bees.
The plants bloom profusely and the flowers remain upright facing from late spring until first hard frost in the fall. Nasturtiums are known for drawing in pollinators such as hummingbirds, butterflies and bees. The beneficial insect plants serve as a great trap crop for aphids and effectively repel cucumber beetles, squash beetles, Mexican bean beetles, and whiteflies. They also make a valuable companion plant for Brassicas (such as cabbage, broccoli, and kale), cucumbers, melons, radishes, and tomatoes.
